The 2010 Disability Achievement Awards recognise individuals and businesses that have contributed to improving the quality of life of people with disabilities and individuals with disabilities that have demonstrated outstanding commitment and performance.
We believed it was time for this region to have an awards evening that celebrates and acknowledge the achievements and contributions that individuals with a disability make to our community. The Awards also recognise the important role individuals and businesses within our community play in improving the life of people with disabilities and who have shown a commitment to the inclusion of people with disability.
Access Mildura Inc. is proud to be the host of the first annual Disability Achievement Awards. As this is an important celebration of achievement and success, the awards will be held on International Day of People with Disability, December 3rd 2010.
International Day of People with Disability is a United Nations sanctioned day that aims to promote an understanding of people with disability and encourage support for their dignity, rights and well-being.
If you, someone you know or a business you know in Sunraysia has made a significant contribution, achieved outstanding performance and meets the guidelines, tell the community about them by nominating for the 2010 Disability Achievement Awards.
